What is coaching?
Coaching is a partnership between the Coach and Client in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the client to maximize personal and professional potential. It’s designed to facilitate the creation and development of personal, professional or business goals. This includes a strategy and plan for achieving those goals. My main areas of focus are leadership coaching and life transition coaching.
What are the benefits of coaching?
Coaching is about empowerment and motivation. It’s not about perfection or some unattainable ideal. We get enough pressure from social media and our own selves that we are never enough. I’ll help you to find the sweet spot where you can feel centred and grounded in the beautiful mess of life.
Through coaching, you’ll develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to effectively manage and make informed decisions about your life. I’ll teach you to be open to possibility, let go of what no longer serves you, and practice non-attachment to the outcome, because often where we end up is more amazing than we envisioned.
Even when we experience obstacles along the way, I have come to learn that those moments are the greatest teachers to show you where to take the next step on your path.
How much does each session cost?
In Canada, coaching can cost anywhere from $100-$500/hour. You can find a detailed list of prices and packages below. The fee depends on the type of coaching as well as the experience and training of the coach.
My goal is to make coaching accessible for healthcare providers who may find the cost of coaching unaffordable. I base my rates on my years of experience in healthcare, my master’s degree in leadership, as well as my ICF coaching training.
I offer a variety of packages and prices to suit you best. I also provide some free resources that may be helpful to you.
Payment is accepted via electronic banking transfer in full upfront or monthly. Let’s connect to discuss what might work best for you.
What is the time commitment?
Get started with a free 30-minute discovery call to see if we’re a good fit. We’ll discuss your goals and the benefits of coaching.
Sessions are typically one hour every 2 – 3 weeks for two or more months, depending on the package you choose and your goals. Some clients prefer weekly sessions to begin with, depending on schedules and goals.
To experience the benefits of coaching a minimum of 4 sessions is recommended.
To build a sustainable work/life plan a minimum of 8 sessions is recommended.
Where are sessions held?
1:1 coaching sessions are conducted online via Zoom or by phone. Outdoor sessions are chosen based on the client’s preference and the coach’s recommendation. Typically held in a nature park that is accessible and convenient to both parties.
What areas will we cover in a coaching session?
You are in the driver’s seat. You are responsible for your own physical, mental, and emotional well-being during coaching sessions. All coaching topics for discussion are your choice and may involve all areas of your life, including work, finances, health, relationships, education, and recreation.
As your coach, my focus is on asking you curious and guiding questions to help uncover your beliefs. We’ll address areas where you may be stuck and I’ll help you gain clarity of your purpose. This work will be grounded in achievable and meaningful goals to help you navigate change and transitions in work and life.
You’ll also receive helpful resources and tools that are specific to your needs to use between sessions. Each session is bespoke and tailored to you based on your personal needs and preferences.
What is accountability?
As your coach, I’m fully committed to your success. I’ll help you reach your goals and support you with accountability, or checking in to see if you need help between our sessions. As a client, all decisions and implementation of choices are your full responsibility.
What is the difference between coaching and counselling?
- Coaching focuses on the present and how to move into a desired future. Sometimes the past is touched on in order to gain an understanding of the present, but coaching doesn’t attempt to unearth and heal wounds from a person’s past.
- Clients who need or want therapy should connect with a counsellor.
- Therapists and counsellors delve into a client’s past in order to support the healing of a person’s traumas or developmental disruptions. They’re trained in therapeutic interventions and traumatic processing in order to facilitate a client’s healing.
- Counsellors also provide support for those suffering from addictions and mental health disorders, while coaching does not. (Rhodes Wellness College Ltd. 2020)

Outdoor coaching has many benefits and spending time in nature is proven to be vital to well being and health.
